Altar Society

A group of dedicated women (and a few men) who serve Our Lord through:

Catholic Youth Organization (CYO)

The CYO is open to all high school teens in the parish. In addition to religious education classes, a variety of spiritual, social, and charitable events are planned throughout the course of the year. Current youth news is published weekly in the parish bulletin, on this webpage, and outside the Religious Education Office.

Christ House

Prepares a meal once a month for the less fortunate.

Flower Guild

A group of parish women with varying degrees of floral design and decoration experience who are dedicated to the beautification of God's house (expecially the sanctuary and altar). The guild meets at least twice a year, specifically for the planning of the large sclae decoration and embellishments needed for Christmas and Easter and several other times as required for major feast days or unexpected floral decoration needs of the parish.

Knights of Columbus, Padre Pio Council

A fraternal, family, insurance, and service organization established at St. Catherine's in 1991. The Council has approximately 175 members who meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 8:00 pm every month. The council raises money for various charities and offers members service opportunities in church, family, community, youth, and council areas.

Opus Dei

An evening of Recollection from 7:30 - 9:15 pm is given in the church by a priest of the Opus Dei prelature. Women meet on the 3rd Monday and men meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month.

Over 50 Club

A social organization that provides a wonderful opportunity for parishioners of mature age and their friends to gather together every 2nd and 4th Tuesday for entertainment, social and religious discussions, charity works and group activities.

Prime Time Single Catholics

PTSC is an organization of over 230 Catholic adults adults in the Northern Virginia area. All members, ranging in age from 40 to 70+, are free to marry in the Catholic Church. New members are always welcome and encouraged to attend our social, cultural and religious activities held throughout the year. A list of events will be posted on the bulletin board in the vestibule of the church.

Pro-Life Committee

Initiates and coordinates pro-life activities for the parish, and in conjunction with other parishes of the diocese throughout the year. Activities include the Spiritual Adoption Program, the March for Life, monthly rosaries at the abortion clinic and other prayer vigils, literature and bumper stickers, periodic spearks and fundraising activities for crisis pregnancy and other pro-life organizations. The committee meets once each quarter.

Sister Parish in Nicaragua Committee

Fosters our relationship with our Sister Parish in Nicaragua (The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception) and provides needed items to them through periodic parish collection drives especially in areas of medicine and health care, school supplies, and clothing. Meetings are as required.

Third Order of St. Dominic

A community of priests and married or single men and women of the St. Catherine of Siena Pro Chapter who have discerned a call to holiness through the charism of St. Dominic. Meetings are held every 1st Saturday of the month after 9:00 am Mass.

Women's Association

In the spirit of our glorious patron, St. Catherine of Siena, whose heart and life were consumed with love for others, it is the purpose of our membership association to attain optimal participation by women of the parish in a variety of activities which include:

The association meets on the first Thursday of every other month starting in September and as required.
