Holy Family Enthronement
Enthrone the Sacred Heart of Jesus as King in your home! Children from St. Catherine's Junior Legion of Mary will come to your home and pray with you and conduct the enthronement ceremony. By means of this 45-minute ceremony you will dedicate your family to the Holy Family. The Jr. Legion will supply you with an image of the Holy Family of Fatima, which is blessed by Fr. Drummond, OR use your own framed image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The exclusive image that the Junior Legion will be using to depict the dedication of your family to the Holy Family is the Holy Family at Fatima. This special portrait of the Holy Family depicts a vision that the three children of Fatima, Blesseds Francisco and Jacinta and Lucia, saw during the "Miracle of the Sun" on October 13, 1917. The image is centered on the Sacred Heart of the Child Jesus. It also consists of a rosary configured as a heart, framing the image of the Holy Family, and crowned with the fire of the Holy Spirit. Through our dedication to Jesus through Mary in union with St. Joseph, our hearts are formed into sanctuaries of the Holy Family. We place our trust in the Sacred and Eucharistic Heart of Jesus and ask Him to fill our lives with His grace and truth through the Blessed Virgin Mary. We turn to St. Joseph as the teacher and guardian of our commitment and the protector of our family.
Enthroning the Holy Family portrait in a prominent place in your home opens your family to the special graces Jesus promised to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque and its powerful protection. The Holy Family of Fatima portrait is centered on the Sacred and Eucharistic Heart of the Child Jesus, and is ideal for families.
What do I need to do?
- Sign up in the back of Church at the Junior Legion of Mary station (sign up sheet is on a clipboard), OR e-mail CathyFairbairn@yahoo.com, OR call 703 430 7969 and leave a message. Include your name and phone no. when you sign up. Someone will call you back to schedule a time for the enthronement ceremony.
- Pick up a portrait of the Holy Family of Fatima from the Junior Legion of Mary and have it framed for the ceremony, OR use your favorite image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, if desired.
- Before the enthronement ceremony with our Junior Legionaries takes place in your home, we encourage you and your family members to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation (confession).
- On the day of the scheduled enthronement ceremony you will:
- Provide a bible, a candle or two, and a place to prominently display the Holy Family Portrait.
- View the Enthronement Ceremony Video (approx. 20 minutes in length.)
- Pray the family Rosary with the children of the Junior Legion of Mary (15 minutes.)
- Enthrone the Holy Family Portrait or other image of the Sacred Heart/Immaculate Heart.
- Sign the Enthronement Certificate (for you to frame when enthronement is completed.)
- Strive to pray the family Rosary daily.
