Committees
Outreach: Integrate into action the teaching of Christ by assisting parishioners in a time of need. Chairperson is: Mary Dunn, 703-444-8562.
Membership: Chairperson is: Christiane De Filippis, 571-271-9502, defilippis_christiane@bah.com
Spiritual: Encourage and promote the spiritual formation of women in the parish through the development, organization and presentation of parish events which may include retreats and gospel reflections. Provide an opportunity for prayer, education and inspiration as a parish community. Chairperson is: Cris Tallent, 703-281-6365.
Social Events: Organize social events and gatherings to bring together women and families of the parish for fun, fellowship and support. Events may include a party, a tea or a potluck dinner. A chairperson is selected for each individual event. Chairperson as needed.
Hospitality: Organize and host breakfasts, receptions and other special events. Work may include sending invitations, decorating, purchasing food and other products, setup, cleanup and cooking. Chairperson is needed
Scholarship: Oversee the annual awarding of scholarships in memory of Alexander DeFilippis. The committee organizes and copies letters and flyers to be sent to area high schools. The student applications are then copied for the readers who are selected by the Pastor. The results are tallied and winners are announced to the Parish, the local newspapers and the recipients' high schools. Chairperson is: Kate Abruzzino, 703-689-2531.
